- Prepare 2 of firm pears.
- Prepare 1 cup of Red wine Shiraz cabernet or Merlot.

- All ingredients as below.
- Take all the ingredients into a sauce pan except for the pears.
- Turn on the gas and let it simmer until it starts boiling..
- When the poaching liquid has boiled, peel the pears and dip them into the poaching liquid.
- Turn the pears every 5 mins and let is cook for the next 30 mins.
- If you think the pears haven't cooked and soaked up the liquid cook it for some more time.
